Clonmel started out on Saturday morning and beat Templemore GC 4/1. In the afternoon they were drawn against Tipperary Golf Club and they won 3.5/1.5. Round 4 was played on Sunday morning and Clonmel triumphed over a very strong Ballykisteen team but wond 4/1.
Well done to the team and team Manager Maurice Kenefick and his mentors. Best on Luck in the Area finals.

Congratulations to our Junior cup team of Anna Moloney, Katherine Morrissey, Gemma Murphy, Bobbi Holohan and Helen O Donoghue for a great win over Doneraile in East Cork last Sunday. Thanks also to all the caddies on the day. Looking forward to the next round on June 11th.
Last week our weekly competition was sponsored by Rory O Donoghue, silversmith. This is always a hugely popular prize and we had our largest competition entry so far this year. This was a V-Par competition and scores were fantastic with Jane Ronan winning with 7 up. Second was Antoinette Dougan with 6up, gross was won by Gemma Murphy 4 up and third by Marian Donovan 5 up. Next week we have s ladies fourball competition.
Two dates for diary, the night at the dogs on June 2nd anyone that would like to have a meal and a table contact Elizabeth Joy and Lady Captain’s Day on June 17th.
Last weekend also saw Clonmel not only hosting the Jimmy Bruen but also 8 visiting ladies’ teams. The visitors all spoke highly of our new caterer Martin Kane and the lovely welcome they received in the club. We wish Martin every success in his new venture and will do our best to support.
